Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician

Description:

  • We are looking for an exceptional Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) to be an integral part of our care team, providing same-day consults, screenings, assessments, and short-term, solutions-focused interventions to patients and families.

What You Get To Do:

  • Collaborate with other medical professionals in a fast-paced pediatric environment
  • Acts as a contributing member of the care team, assisting pediatricians in recognizing, treating, and managing behavioral health and biopsychosocial issues
  • Provide brief evidence-based interventions and use outcome-based models to track patient improvement
  • Provide same-day warm hand-offs as much as possible and be available for curbside consultation with pediatricians
  • Connect patients and families with resources in the community
  • Act as a leader in continuing a successful integrated care program
  • Participate in regular interdisciplinary group case consultations, collaborate with community partner organizations, and coordinate with external specialty care providers
  • Utilize knowledge of the most common concerns treated in pediatric primary care (e.g., depression, anxiety, ADHD, life stressors, sleep concerns, developmental delays, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team and patients and families through effective written and verbal professional communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible in dealing with interruptions, a busy schedule, and a fast-paced work environment
  • Two years experience in an integrated pediatric health setting (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records including the ability to document services in a clear, concise, and timely manner (concurrent documentation preferred)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Up to date on all routine vaccinations
  • Spanish language speaker (preferred)

Education: 

  • Masters (required) or Doctorate

Licenses or Certifications:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) in the State of Oregon.
  • A clinician working towards licensure under a board-approved supervisory contract, with the ability to obtain licensure within one to two years such as Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA). Compensation for clinical supervision is offered to eligible candidates.
